When: Four week course May 9, 16, 23, 30 ( Monday nights 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM)

This is a four week class in photography which is designed to teach students the
basics of shooting with a DSLR camera. The class will cover everything from basic
camera operation to beginning studio lighting techniques. We will spend the first
2 weeks on studio lighting, and the last 2 weeks on location lighting. Bring your
camera, this is a hands on class.
YOU WILL LEARN:
* Choice of lights - advantages and disavantages of each
* Flash vs. continious lights*
* How to change the quality of your light with accessories
* Using various light modifiers
• Proper positioning of the lights. We will start with one light and work up to a 4 light set up.
* Main light
* Fill - will also use reflectors
* Background lights
* Hair light
* Edge lights
* Proper positioning of lights and subject
* Proper metering techniques*
* How to set a custom white balance
* Working with reflectors on location
* Working with Speedlites on location
* Finding direction of light
