Desktop Digital Lab is hosting a two-day workshop that promises to unlock the secrets to successfully tapping into these markets niches on Monday, July 18 and Tuesday, July 19 in Jacksonville, Florida.

eff will be discussing sales and marketing techniques, photo day hiring techniques, how to hire and commission a sales person, which products are hot, a mock board presentation and how to set up and run a successful team and individual photo day. Each attendee will walk away from this workshop with a sports marketing kit, which includes an 8 page league marketing booklet, presentation folder, sports samples and a series of league follow up email ideas. We also are introducing our new League Marketing Calendar, which helps you stay ahead of the game.

Fund-raising, commissions and how to increase your profits are also a huge part of Day One.

The second half of Day One will include information on how to successfully sell and market posed action photography to your leagues. We will also have a print on site display set up for demonstration purposes.

Mike will introduce DDLab’s new dance workflow which saves the photographer hours of work. Our new bar coding/sorting method speeds up the proofing process and allows the photographer to shoot multiple poses in multiple costumes to maximize photo day sales.

Part 2 of Dance will introduce our new dance product line up, how to create an order form that will display the products, marketing and sales materials we provide for you to utilize this workflow. We make dance photography simple. We’ll go over commission structures, how to book and schedule your dance schools, how to schedule sale dates, what dance school owners expect, and also introduce our new memory book program: a brand new product you can sell and offer to your dance schools.

The afternoon resumes at 1 p.m. with a one hour workshop on how to shoot green screen and what your software options are for background removal. We’ll show you a few new sales tools you can utilize and how you can earn extra income offering this service to your schools or leagues.

At 2 p.m., Chris Murphy will take the room and let us know his secrets on competing with the “big school photography company”. Chris is a successful school, dance and portrait photographer in the Philadelphia area and has successful and profitable business. He will show us his sales and marketing techniques, his order forms and processing methods, which unique products sell, and how to stay ahead of competition.
